House of Fish Ball @ PJ Old Town

This is rather a random decision to try out this restaurant as we had actually planned for something else (of course it doesn't turn out as planned). This restaurant sells teo chew cuisine and the interior is more like in a 60's. Fish ball is my all time favorite so of course we were more happy to try this out as well.

All of our food are heavenly superb, especially if you are a big fan of fish ball/ fish paste. You will definitely fall in love with the food! But sadly the beverage here we could say it's nothing special or rather not very good. So we had decided to drink only chinese tea for our next visit. Haha.

So this is dad's Fish Paste Mee Soup. The soup is cooked traditionally with salted vege, just exactly the teo chew style. Soup is so sweet, the fish paste is superb, and most importantly they used the laksa noodle as the mee! Very interesting combination!

This is my Home made Porridge. Porridge was cooked until smooth, and with over-flooded fish ball and fish paste. My favourite!

Their signature Dry mee pok. The mee pok is still lovably chewy, served with fish ball soup. Nice but too bad the soup turn out to be too salty.

Homemade fish ball. I don't think I need to further explain it's delicious and the Q-ness, as I had talked about it for N times earlier on =)

Fried Fish Noodle with Chu Cheong Fun. It tasted exactly like Batu Pahat's " Cha Kuey" - Fried Carrot Cake. It seriously bringed back my childhood memories back in BP! Must try!

Hand made Fish Paste. What I can say is that all the fish ball fish paste in this shop are beyond standard. Indescribably nice!

The Hainan tea and with our desserts. Like I say there's nothing to regret even if you missed their dessert.

Overall rating: 9.5/10 (Exclude the drink cause it couldn't be too fair)

Where is the missing 0.5? Blame the fan, it's too hot! If not it will be a more enjoyable food hunting trip!
