Bouquet Garni @ Shah Alam Section 9

This was rather random when we decided to visit this restaurant, Bouquet Garni, after reading an article introducing it on The Star. It is located just right beside the RISDA building, yet knowing that it is not attached to RISDA.

Food served inclusive of western, and also some local delights, ranging from appetizer to dessert, not to forget it's house mocktails. But too bad we're not in the "mocktail" mood on that day, so we'd decided to skip it. Bouquet Garni is also a "HALAL" certified restaurant, which make it more convenient for our Malay friends to dine in.

We like the ambience as it is very relaxing with dimmed light and soft music. This is a casual dining restaurant so  no dress code required. Food that day was above average and we are satisfied. So let's the photos do the talking now.

Smoke Duck Salad. We think that the duck will look more attempting if it was in pinkish.

Cream of Mushroom Soup. What I can else say! This own made soup blended with 3 mushrooms and served with big slice of garlic bread, 9.8/10 rated!

Bouquet Garni Chicken Wing. Fried to perfect and coated with their home made sauce, RECOMMENDED appertizer.

So here comes the dish DU JOUR, Lamb Shank! The lamb was braised till the texture is soft, with the silky smooth sauce and rice, just can't stop eating till the last drop of sauce!

Stuffed chicken breast. This was really wasted as the chicken breast had been seared for too long and the texture was too tough with not much cheese taste. Could be further improved.

We were lucky enough to get a dessert from the house. The tart was soft and it was really nice. Thank you!

The portion overall are satisfying, and we would definitely pay another visit to Bouquet Garni!
